In the heart of Glasgow’s International Financial Services District we underwent refurbishment across three full floors, totalling some 15,000 square feet of premium office space. Prior to BSL engagement on the project, the project appeared to be distressed and was forecast to be over budget at completion.

Working with the project surveyors, we value-engineered the proposed fit-out, bringing the cost back within budget so work could proceed.

BSL Interiors Ltd undertook the refurbishment works, upgrading tired and largely unlettable office accommodation to Grade A standard including upgrading the heating, ventilation, cooling and lighting. We installed new suspended ceilings, decor, floor coverings, and fully refurbished the toilet and washroom facilities. We carried out a full strip-down of the office with and demolition activities on the first and second floors of the affected building, all performed without any impact or inconvenience for the operational floors above.

BSL Interiors Ltd manufactured bespoke toilet cubicles and washroom vanity units more cost-effectively than the installation originally specified, contributing greatly to overall project savings and allowing the project to be completed in 8 weeks.

We’re able to offer specialist in-house manufacturing, so clients can get what they need, but we make it ourselves more cost-effectively and in harmony with the entire design and build. Since we subcontract very little work, we can order materials directly from manufacturers for client projects, keeping the supply chain short, cost-effective and more predictable. Materials are procured specifically to suit client project schedules.
